We are thrilled to announce the outstanding success of an enterprise event organized and executed by our Year 8 students, under the guidance of Mrs. Ahmed, on Wednesday, 22nd November. This initiative was not just an exercise in entrepreneurship but a significant contribution to our school community.
The students in Year 8 showcased remarkable planning and preparation skills, culminating in a highly successful event that raised an impressive £300 for the school council fund. This achievement reflects the real-world skills and the spirit of teamwork and initiative that we encourage at DHLNW.
The funds raised will be put to excellent use, as they will be directed towards the school council’s independent budget. This is a unique aspect of our school’s approach to student empowerment; the council members, who are students themselves, have the autonomy to decide how these funds will be utilized. This fosters a sense of responsibility and democratic participation among our students, allowing them to have a tangible impact on their school environment.
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the Year 8 students involved for their hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Special thanks also go to Mrs. Ahmed for her guidance and support throughout this project.
This event is a prime example of how DHLNW not only focuses on academic excellence but also on developing practical skills and a sense of community in our students. We are proud to nurture such talent and initiative in our young learners.
Well done, Year 8, for setting such a high standard of achievement and community contribution!
