As we reflect on this week’s theme of Seeking Forgiveness, we are reminded of the importance of
humility, self-reflection, and making amends with ourselves and others. In Islam, seeking forgiveness (Tawbah)
is a powerful and transformative practice that allows us to grow closer to Allah (SWT) and strengthen our
relationships with others. It’s a time to repair mistakes, cleanse our hearts, and embrace a path of personal growth.
Qur’anic Verses
“Say, ‘O My servants who have harmed yourselves by your own actions, do not despair of Allah’s mercy.
Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. He is truly the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.”
– Surah Az-Zumar (39:53)
This verse reminds us that no matter the mistake, Allah’s mercy is vast and always available to those who sincerely seek it.
“Do they not know that it is Allah who accepts repentance from His servants and takes the charity and
that it is Allah who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful?”
– Surah At-Tawbah (9:104)
Seeking forgiveness not only heals our hearts, but it also strengthens our connection with Allah,
who is always ready to forgive.
Hadiths
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“Every son of Adam sins, and the best of those who sin are those who repent.”
– Tirmidhi
“O people, repent to Allah, for I repent to Him a hundred times a day.”
– Sahih Muslim
These hadiths emphasize that everyone makes mistakes. What matters is our willingness to seek
forgiveness and improve. Even the Prophet ﷺ sought forgiveness regularly, setting an example
for us to follow.

Final Reflection
As we work together this week to embody the theme of Seeking Forgiveness,
may we open our hearts to understanding, healing, and growing in the light of Allah’s infinite mercy.
Let us forgive ourselves, ask for forgiveness from others, and remember that the path to true peace begins with forgiveness.
Let’s support each other in making this week a time of reflection, growth, and positive change.
