📖 Qur’an Verse
English Translation:
“O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin.
And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead?
You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.”
— Surah Al-Ḥujurāt (49:12)
🌸 Hadith
English Translation:
“Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari 6136; Sahih Muslim 47
💬 Reflection: Backbiting harms hearts, destroys unity, and weakens our faith.
Let’s strive to purify our speech and remember that silence can often be an act of worship.
Speak good, think good, and be kind — for Allah hears every word we utter.
