Surah Nuh (71:10–12)
فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا
“Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is Ever-Forgiving. He will send rain from the sky upon you in abundance, and give you increase in wealth and children, and provide for you gardens and rivers.” — Surah Nuh 71:10–12
Surah Hud (11:3)
وَأَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُوا إِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُم مَّتَاعًا حَسَنًا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذِي فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُ
“Seek forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him; He will grant you good enjoyment for an appointed term and bestow His bounty on every person of merit.” — Surah Hud 11:3
Hadith
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ، فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ فِي الْيَوْمِ إِلَيْهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ
“O people, repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness, for indeed I repent to Him one hundred times a day.” — Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2702
مَنْ لَزِمَ الِاسْتِغْفَارَ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ هَمٍّ فَرَجًا، وَمِنْ كُلِّ ضِيقٍ مَخْرَجًا، وَرَزَقَهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ
“Whoever constantly seeks forgiveness, Allah will make for him a way out of every distress, relief from every anxiety, and provide for him from where he does not expect.” — Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith 1518
طُوبَى لِمَنْ وَجَدَ فِي صَحِيفَتِهِ اسْتِغْفَارًا كَثِيرًا
“Glad tidings to the one who finds abundant istighfaar in his record (of deeds).” — Sunan Ibn Majah (3818)
Reflection
الاستغفار مفتاح الرحمة والبركة
“Istighfaar is the key to Allah’s mercy and blessings.”
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
“I seek Allah’s forgiveness and repent to Him.” 🤲🏻
